On February 6, a farmer managing a peasant farm approached the Alamedin District Internal Affairs Department. He stated that a cattleman, having taken on the responsibility of caring for 50 calves until April 2026, sold the animals in January 2026 and lost the proceeds in an online casino. As a result, the farmer incurred losses amounting to 3 million 700 thousand soms.
A criminal case has been initiated in this matter under Article 210 ("Embezzlement and misappropriation of entrusted property") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspect, born in 1998 and named J.E., has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
