According to information from the Internal Affairs Department of the Pervomaisky District, a citizen named Z.S. filed an official complaint with the police, reporting demands from a man named A.I. for the transfer of money.
The situation escalated when A.I. learned about the detention of the complainant's husband by representatives of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). He began to threaten the woman, claiming that if she did not comply with his demands, the consequences for her husband could be serious.
In pursuit of profit, A.I. demanded $50,000 from Z.S., threatening to file a complaint against her husband if she did not meet his conditions.
Based on this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208 (extortion) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational-search activities, law enforcement officers detained A.I., born in 1971, red-handed — he received $30,000 from the victim. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
