On the evening of March 11, around 21:30, a signal was received by the police about a conflict between neighbors in a multi-story building on Jumabek Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officer encountered a situation where one of the men, who had exited the elevator, unexpectedly struck him in the face. The policeman, who was wearing glasses, sustained an injury: the glass shattered and damaged his eye, resulting in a laceration of the lower eyelid of his right eye. The injured officer was promptly taken to the neurotrauma department.
The incident was registered in accordance with Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning hooliganism.
The law enforcement authorities detained an 18-year-old suspect named K.N. He was placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway.
