The incident occurred on March 11 at around 21:30, when the duty station received information about a conflict between neighbors in an apartment building on Jumabek Street. A district inspector was dispatched to the scene.
During the investigation, an unknown individual approached the policeman and struck him in the face without warning, resulting in broken glasses and an eye injury to the officer.
The injured officer was taken to the neurotrauma department for necessary medical assistance.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the detained individual, a citizen identified as K.N., born in 2005, under Article 280 "Hooliganism" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Necessary examinations have been appointed for further investigation.
The police conducted operational search activities, which led to the identification and detention of the suspect, who is currently in the temporary detention facility of the capital's Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
The investigation is ongoing.
