Smashed car mirrors and assaulted the owner: suspect detained for hooliganism
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, officers from the Leninsky District Internal Affairs Department detained a young man suspected of hooligan actions. He damaged a car and, during a conflict, inflicted bodily harm on its owner.

According to information from the district police department, around 10:30 PM on February 9, 2026, in the residential area of "Tynchtyk," an unidentified citizen, acting out of hooligan motives, smashed the side mirrors of a Honda Odyssey belonging to the complainant N.U.

As a result of the ensuing conflict, the suspect used physical force against the car owner, which necessitated the victim seeking medical assistance at one of the city hospitals.

The investigative authorities have initiated a criminal case under Article 280 ("Hooliganism") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Necessary examinations have been appointed as part of the investigation.

As a result of operational-search activities, the suspect T. Sh., born in 2006, was identified and detained. In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, he has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.

The investigation is ongoing.
