On March 12 of this year, the investigating judge of the Lenin district granted the request of the investigative group of the GSU GKNB, appointing detention as a preventive measure for Kongantieff until May 10, 2026, which corresponds to the duration of the investigation.

It is worth noting that the day before, a video appeared on the internet discussing the assets and connections of the former deputy. The author of the video claims that individuals close to the Kongantieffs own numerous companies. It is also reported that, while serving as a deputy of the Bishkek City Kenesh and heading the land commission, he leased plots at undervalued prices, which were then registered in his ownership, on which apartment buildings and commercial properties were built. Some of these assets are reportedly registered in the name of his mother and other family members.
Kongantieff himself has not yet commented on these allegations. However, on March 10, he made the decision to resign from his deputy powers, and soon it became known about his detention on suspicion of corrupt activities.
