In Georgia, 72 residents of one village were detained for 'involvement in the criminal world'
According to information provided by the publication Interpressnews, in Georgia, as a result of a special operation, 72 residents of the village of Sharabidze, located in Adjara, were detained on charges of "involvement in the criminal world." This detention has become a record in the country for the number of arrests under this article in a single operation.

During the operation, three suspects were found in one of the houses. An incident occurred during their arrest: a special forces officer accidentally fired his weapon, and a shard of a broken mirror injured a 68-year-old woman, who was hospitalized. Additionally, two brothers were admitted to the medical facility after inflicting knife wounds on themselves during the arrest.

After the operation, a group of local residents who remained free held a small protest near the district police department building.

In Georgia, serious penalties are provided for "involvement in the criminal world," including hefty fines and prison sentences ranging from 7 to 15 years.
