All of them had returned from Kazakhstan when they were stopped by representatives of the law enforcement agencies at the border, after which they were taken to a dacha near Bishkek. The murders took place at this dacha, and the bodies were placed in an SUV and burned on the roadside near the village of Koy-Tash to conceal the traces of the crime.
After the overthrow of Bakiyev's regime, a new investigation began, during which it was revealed that the brother of the ex-president, Janysh Bakiyev, was the organizer of this crime.

In 2012, the court sentenced seven defendants to various prison terms. During the court proceedings, it was established that the executor of the murder was kickboxer Sanjar Adylbekov, but he did not appear in court as he was declared wanted by Interpol in 2011. Saparbekov was detained on November 26, 2021, and on November 27, he was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
The investigation regarding Saparbekov has been completed, and the case has been transferred to the Alamedin District Court. The widows of the murdered acted as victims — Aina Gul Sadykulova, Elena Sleptchenko, and the sister of Sulaymanov, Chynara Sulaymanova.
During the hearing, Saparbekov did not admit his guilt. Judge Bekbolot Janaliev found him guilty on November 18, 2022, and sentenced him to 14 years in prison.
- The text of the court decision is available here.
Currently, Saparbekov is a defendant in the case of the murder of criminal authority Chyngyz "Doo" Jumagulov, while being in pre-trial detention.
Excerpts from the indictment against Saparbekov:
At 02:27 on March 13, then head of the State Border Service Zamir Moldoshev [convicted in 2012 of concealing a crime and abuse of office, sentenced to 5 years in prison — ed. note] informed Janysh Bakiyev about the arrival of Sadykulov and his companions in Kyrgyzstan. Bakiyev, in turn, passed the information to his assistant Takhir Rysaliev [wanted — ed. note]. The indictment mentions that the head of the Border Service acted on the instructions of Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
Takhir Rysaliev. Also wanted since 2011
Former special forces soldier of "Alpha" Bakyt Baizhanov [convicted of complicity in murder and kidnapping, sentenced to 15 years, but has already been released — ed. note] changed into traffic police uniform and at 02:35 stopped a Lexus LX570 with the license plate B1595R, driven by Sulaymanov, with Sadykulov and Sleptchenko as passengers. Captain of the SGU Marat Turdukulov [convicted of exceeding official authority and complicity in murder, sentenced to 18 years, but is now free — ed. note] threatened the driver with a weapon and forced him out of the car.
Then the driver was handed over to Aybek Abdyrazakov [wanted since 2011; in 2015 it became known that he lives in Belarus under the name Aydin Adylov — ed. note], who found two Motorola mobile phones on him.

Abdyrazakov took the phones and directed the driver to Ergashbek Matkaiymov [convicted of complicity in murder and kidnapping, sentenced to 15 years in prison — ed. note]. The latter handcuffed Sulaymanov and handed him over to Rustam Saiduev [a close associate of Janysh Bakiyev, wanted. In 2010 he fled to Belarus, and in 2015 it became known that he changed his name to Alexander Romanovich Dementyev — ed. note]. Saiduev seated him in the back seat of a BMW 740 with the license plate B0482J, owned by Rysaliev.

Saiduev and Matkaiymov pressed the driver and headed to the village of Kok-Zhar, to house No. 80 on Konur Osmon street.
Janysh Bakiyev arrived in a service vehicle "Toyota Land Cruiser 200," driven by his driver Altynbek Amrakulov, and was guarded by SGU officers.
Janysh Bakiyev ordered to stay near the gate of his guards, while he entered the house. He approached Sadykulov and, insulting him, began to beat him, accusing him of allegedly wanting to overthrow Kurmanbek Bakiyev's power.
Janysh did not stop there. He took a stun gun and began to torture Sadykulov, ignoring his pleas to stop the abuse. As a result, Sadykulov lost consciousness.
Janysh switched to Sleptchenko, Sadykulov's friend, believing that he was also aware of the conspiracies — he was brutally beaten until he lost consciousness.
At about 03:35, Janysh Bakiyev ordered Saparbekov, Turdukulov, and Abdyrazakov to eliminate Sadykulov and Sleptchenko. He said: "Put them out."
Saparbekov strangled Sadykulov, while his friend did the same to Sleptchenko. They were killed while unconscious; the driver was also killed by being struck in the groin and strangled.
At 03:42, Janysh Bakiyev called the deputy head of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs Nurlan Temirbaev [convicted in 2012 of concealing a crime, but released from punishment due to amnesty — ed. note] and ordered to "clean up the house" to hide the evidence. The others loaded the bodies of the murdered into the Lexus and wrapped them in tape. Some of the men remained in the house to eliminate traces of the crime.
Turdukulov got behind the wheel of the Lexus and headed towards the "Teplie Klyuchi" resort, followed by Janysh in his car. Abdyrazakov and Saparbekov with a friend left in the BMW. On the way to the village of Besh-Kunghey, Turdukulov heard the moans of Sleptchenko and Sulaymanov, so he stopped the SUV. Saparbekov and his friends got out of the BMW and delivered "finishing" blows to all three with stones, after which they returned to the car.
At about 04:10, they arrived at the area known as "Wolf Gates" [south side of the village of Koy-Tash]. There, Omurbek Osmonov arrived, driving an Audi 100 with license plates S1721O, sent by criminal authority Almanbet Anapiyaev [killed in 2015 in Minsk — ed. note].
He was shown how to simulate a traffic accident. Osmonov, accelerating in the "Audi," crashed into a parked SUV on the roadside. Then the front part of the "Audi" and the interior of the "Lexus," where the bodies of Sadykulov, Sleptchenko, and Sulaymanov were located, were doused with gasoline and set on fire. Attempts to push the vehicles into a ravine failed due to the intense flames.
