According to available information, on March 25, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan invited Turgunbaev for questioning as a witness in a case related to "Kyrgyzneftegaz".
After the questioning was completed, the former head of the bank was placed in the temporary detention facility of the capital's Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
It is important to note that Melis Turgunbaev previously held the position of Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision.
