In Bishkek, at the Sverdlov District Court, the debates in the case of blogger Aitilek Orozbekov concluded on March 27. The prosecution announced its intention to impose a fine of 200,000 soms on him.

As reported by "Azattyk," citing lawyer Zhanish Barakov, the next hearing is scheduled for April 1, when the court is expected to deliver its decision.

This case began due to a video published by the blogger in May 2025. In this video, he recounted how he was refused service in the Kyrgyz language at the "Kulikov" café, after which he demanded to be served in the state language and urged viewers not to visit this establishment.

Following this, the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region initiated a criminal case on charges of inciting interethnic hatred. Orozbekov was detained on May 6 but was soon released under house arrest.

The case reached the court in June 2025. It is worth noting that the "Kulikov" company had previously filed a petition for stricter preventive measures.

The situation caused significant public resonance in January 2026, when a discussion erupted on social media: some users called for a boycott of the company, while others defended it.

Subsequently, the parties reached a reconciliation, and the "Kulikov" confectionery house withdrew its lawsuit. Nevertheless, the criminal case continues to exist — the court is expected to deliver a final verdict.
