
Three valuable paintings belonging to famous Impressionists were stolen from the private Manianni-Rocca Foundation museum located near Parma. Among the stolen works are "Fish" from the late period of Pierre-Auguste Renoir, "Still Life with Cherries," created by Paul Cézanne using pencil and watercolor, as well as a watercolor work by Henri Matisse titled "Odalisque on the Terrace." According to information from law enforcement, the incident occurred on the night of March 22 to 23, that is, a week ago. An investigation is currently underway.
According to available data, the criminals, hiding their faces under hoods, broke open the entrance door and left the scene in just three minutes, taking the artworks with them through the garden. The estimated value of the stolen paintings is in the millions of euros.
