Land plots worth 150 million soms in Kok-Zhar have been returned to state ownership

In Bishkek, the Main Department of Internal Affairs uncovered and suppressed a corruption scheme related to the illegal alienation of land. As a result, plots valued at 150 million soms were returned to state ownership.

According to information from the police, during the investigation of a criminal case opened under Article 336 (Corruption) of the Criminal Code, it became known that a group of individuals, in collaboration with certain officials, organized a scheme aimed at subdividing and selling agricultural lands in contour No. 172 of the village of Kok-Zhar for illegal profit.

In this case, the investigative service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek initiated a criminal case. As a result of the investigation, charges under Article 336, Part 1 (Corruption) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic were brought against several individuals, including M.K., J.E., A.N., A.R., Ch.E., A.B., I.A., T.M., E.S., D.K., J.U., S.E., M.S., and B.A.

During the investigation, the defendants in the case — I.Zh., B.A., S.B., B.I., O.I., and S.E. — agreed to return to the state land plots with a total area of 6 hectares, which have a market value of 150 million soms. These plots were transferred to the State Property Management Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The investigation is ongoing.
