The presentation of the results of a national study on violence in educational institutions and child protection took place in Bishkek.

The study, conducted by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic in collaboration with the public foundation "Civil Participation" and with the assistance of the "Good Neighbors International" branch, covered seven regions of the country, as well as educational institutions in the cities of Bishkek and Osh. A total of 1,045 people participated, including students, parents, teachers, and administrative staff from 50 schools.

The main goal of the study was to identify the causes of violence in the educational environment, develop effective measures to prevent it, and improve the educational policy in the education system.

The Minister of Education, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, emphasized that the ministry is aware of the problem of violence in schools.

“In order to combat this phenomenon, inspector offices for juvenile affairs have been established in every school, and 'panic buttons' have been implemented in electronic diaries. This is a special server that ensures anonymity and protects personal data,” she reported.

The minister also noted that surveillance cameras have been installed in 80% of schools, which are connected to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Situational Center.
