In Afghanistan, authorities arrested four young men who were creating videos on social media inspired by the British series "Peaky Blinders." The group, calling themselves "Jebrail Shelby," was accused of violating "Islamic values" for wearing flat caps and three-piece suits, as well as for behavior that the Taliban deemed "promoting foreign culture."

According to local sources, the arrest took place in the city of Herat. The young men published videos in which they walked around the city dressed as characters from the series. The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice stated that such a style of clothing "does not conform to Afghan traditions."

In a video released by the authorities, one of the detainees apologizes and claims that he "unintentionally violated Sharia," promising not to make such mistakes again.
After a "clarifying conversation," according to media reports, all four young men were released.

However, human rights advocates emphasize that this incident illustrates the increasing control of the Taliban over the appearance and behavior of citizens. Previously, there have been cases in the country of men being detained for "inappropriate" hairstyles and elements of Western culture.
