
The aid is being provided under the World Food Programme of the UN
According to the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the food supplies will be directed to the most vulnerable segments of the population across the country.
“The cargo includes enriched wheat flour and vegetable oil. These products are intended for about 4,600 low-income families participating in the UN WFP projects. In exchange for the assistance, the recipients will participate in community service activities, such as restoring irrigation and water supply systems, planting trees, and strengthening riverbanks, as well as receiving training in modern agricultural methods and self-employment,” the statement said.
Each family included in the program will receive 300 kilograms of flour and 30 liters of vegetable oil. Participants in the training programs will receive 150 kilograms of flour and 15 liters of oil.
