In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a monument to Tolomush Okeyev was unveiled, reports the president's press service.
This monument was erected in honor of the 90th anniversary of the outstanding cultural figure, which was highlighted in the speech of Secretary of State Arslan Koichiev.
"Tolomush Okeyev is one of the key figures who brought Kyrgyz cinema to the international stage. His films, such as 'Kok Serek', 'Ulan', 'Bakaydyn Zhayyty', and 'Ak Ilbirstin Tukumu', will forever remain a part of our spiritual heritage," he added.
