As part of the fight against domestic violence, various preventive measures are being carried out. The head of GOM-1, Altynbek Chynberdiev, recently met with a woman who has five children and who reported her 30-year-old husband to the law enforcement authorities. The man was detained for several days. The woman noted that this is not the first time her husband has been held accountable for similar actions.
Despite the incidents, she decided to continue living with her husband, explaining that there is currently peace in their family.
A case of domestic violence was also recorded in the "Ak-Ordo-3" area. The protective order for the affected woman was extended. Her husband, who is unemployed and suffers from alcohol dependence, periodically creates conflicts in the family. On the eve of the New Year, he attempted to attack his wife and son with a knife, but the son defended his mother. As a result, the police decided to send the man for treatment at a narcological clinic.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs urged citizens of Kyrgyzstan to report cases of domestic violence during the holiday season.
