The hawk has arrived in the Batken village

In the Batken region, there was an incident where a hawk [“kyrgy”], which ended up in a village, was successfully released back into the wild.

According to information provided by the Department of Nature Protection and Biodiversity of the Batken Regional Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, specialists examined the hawk, after which the bird was returned to its natural habitat.

This hawk belongs to the family of falcons and is a powerful predatory bird with characteristic yellowish plumage on its head. Typically, these birds inhabit mountainous and forested areas.

Ecologists note that hawks in Kyrgyzstan are considered rare species and play a significant role in maintaining ecosystem balance. The illegal keeping of protected wild animals is strictly prohibited in the country.
