16-year-old Mayram Shamilieva, an 11th-grade student from Karakol, is actively engaged in handicrafts, creating dolls and soft toys. She began her interest in handicrafts in childhood, trying out various directions such as bead weaving, origami, and sewing. Ultimately, her heart responded most to the creation of soft toys and dolls.

“For me, it is very meaningful to see how warm and lively things emerge from ordinary materials,” she shared.

Her family has always supported her hobbies, and her English teacher inspired her to believe in herself and strive for new heights.

Mayram believes that her most successful works are the dolls and soft toys, as she invests the most effort and emotions into them. Creating one toy can take anywhere from several days to weeks, depending on the complexity. She draws ideas from the Internet and takes into account her teacher's advice. “I try to make my works evoke smiles and convey warmth and kindness,” she noted.

In addition, Mayram actively participates in volunteer projects, sharing her talent with those around her.

She learned handicrafts mainly on her own, using video tutorials and patterns.

In the future, she plans to develop her skills by creating new characters and mastering more complex techniques.

Mayram advises her peers not to be afraid of being imperfect and not to compare themselves to others, as experience comes with time.
