Quotas for treatment, internships for doctors. What the heads of the Ministries of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and Russia discussed
Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanibek Dosmambetov met with Mikhail Murashko, his Russian counterpart.

According to the press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, important issues for the citizens of both countries were discussed during the meeting. The main focus was on continuing the practice of allocating quotas for the treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Russian medical institutions, including high-tech assistance.

Additionally, the participants of the meeting paid attention to personnel issues and strengthening professional relationships. The possibilities of expanding educational programs for young specialists from Kyrgyzstan in such in-demand fields as neurosurgery, oncology, cardiac surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, as well as in anesthesiology, resuscitation, neonatology, pediatrics, genetics, and laboratory diagnostics were discussed.

During the negotiations, the organization of internships and advanced training courses for doctors from Kyrgyzstan at leading medical and scientific institutions in Russia was also addressed.

In the field of high technologies in medicine, the Kyrgyz side expressed interest in joint initiatives, including the establishment of a nuclear medicine center in Kyrgyzstan, which will have its own production of radiopharmaceuticals based on cyclotrons.

During the discussion, it was noted that some aspects of the project initiated by the National Center for Oncology and Hematology in collaboration with JSC "Rosatom" are already being implemented in the republic. Initiatives for the establishment of the center are included in the country's state development plans. A phased development of the regulatory framework is expected, along with the conclusion of necessary agreements and the start of design work in 2026, with a final completion deadline set for 2030. Various formats of cooperation were also discussed, including technological and expert support, access to equipment, and methodological solutions in accordance with mutual interests.

Furthermore, the parties considered the exchange of professional experience between medical workers of the two countries, including joint surgical operations and other high-tech interventions, as well as the expansion of scientific and expert interaction.
