A number of public organizations appealed to the Attorney General regarding the death of 21-year-old Aizhanil in Nookat

An appeal to the Attorney General calling for transparency and justice in the investigation

A group of public organizations from the Osh region has sent an appeal to the Attorney General, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the head of the Osh region police department, and the Ombudsman regarding the tragic death of 21-year-old Aizhanil, a resident of the Nookat district.
In their letter, they insist on the need for a comprehensive, transparent, and impartial investigation into the circumstances of her death, as well as measures aimed at eradicating systemic violence against women.
After Aizhanil's body was discovered, her husband, whose relatives proposed the version of an alleged suicide by hanging, remains at large, and no preventive measures in the form of arrest have been initiated against him.
“The facts known to us raise serious doubts about the plausibility of this version. A day before the tragedy, Aizhanil sought help: she called her mother, sent text messages reporting physical violence from her husband, and asked to be taken away from this family hell. These are not the words of someone who decided to take their own life, but a final cry for help from a victim,” the appeal states.
We remind you that on February 20, in the Nookat district, in the rural aymaq of Kok-Bek, a girl born in 2005, named A.A., was found hanged.
