One of the main changes is the renaming of the field "Pedagogy" to "Pedagogy and Education," which will enhance the practical training of future educators. Additionally, "Socio-Economic Education" will be transformed into "Social and Humanitarian Education," which more accurately reflects the interdisciplinary approach in the training of specialists in the field of education and social sciences.
As part of the project, the fields "Vocational Training" and "Technological Education" will be combined into a new field called "Vocational and Technological Education." Graduates of this program will be able to teach in educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and lyceums, as well as work in centers for technical creativity and in projects related to digital and engineering technologies. The master's program will focus on training methodologists and leaders of educational projects with advanced knowledge in innovative technologies and digitalization.
Furthermore, the project introduces new training fields:
- Special Education, covering profiles in speech therapy, deaf education, oligophrenopedagogy, and typhlopedagogy. This field meets labor market demands for specialized professionals working with children with disabilities.
- Psychological and Pedagogical Education, which prepares tutors, pedagogical psychologists, career guidance consultants, and specialists in inclusive education. This has become particularly relevant in light of the growing psychological and pedagogical issues among schoolchildren, such as stress, anxiety, and bullying, as well as the transition to a 12-year education system.
- Computer Science and Information and Communication Technologies in Education has been designated as a separate field for training educators who possess digital literacy, capable of developing educational resources, managing learning analytics, and implementing innovative teaching methods.
- Andragogy, aimed at training specialists for adult education, corporate training, and continuous professional education, including the design of educational trajectories and the implementation of inclusive and digital forms of learning.
- Management in Education, which trains managers capable of implementing innovations, digital technologies, and modern management methods in educational institutions at all levels.
