Judoist from Kyrgyzstan Wins Bronze Medal at European Cup

Adis Orozmamatov, representing Kyrgyzstan, won a bronze medal at the European Cup, the country's judo federation reported.

The competition took place on February 7-8 in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where 31 athletes competed in the under 66 kilograms category.

The Kyrgyz athlete began his path to the medal in the 1/16 finals, where he defeated Peter Weiss from Slovakia. Then, in the 1/8 finals, Orozmamatov overcame Kan Emirhan Esenboga from Turkey.

In the quarterfinals, unfortunately, the judoka lost to David Zeynalov from Russia, but nevertheless, he got a chance to continue fighting for the bronze medal. In the consolation tournament, he managed to achieve victories over Aleksa Milosevic from Serbia, Roko Rozga from Croatia, and Jakub Kurowski from Poland, which ultimately earned him third place.
