Kyrgyzstan and Austria Expand Partnership in the Field of Tourism

Recently, a meeting took place at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education, attended by Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva and a delegation from Austria.

According to the agency's statement, the Austrian delegation included representatives from the Federal Ministry of Finance, educational institutions, and a diplomatic advisor from the Austrian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development.

During the discussions, participants explored opportunities for expanding cooperation in vocational, technical, and tourism education. In particular, the issue of collaboration with the University of Leoben and the Klessheim Tourism College was raised. The Austrian side expressed readiness to assist in creating educational programs, attracting qualified specialists, and conducting lectures on hotel management and tourism.

Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva noted that for Kyrgyzstan, which has a mountainous landscape, the development of the tourism sector in accordance with international standards is a crucial task.

As a result of the meeting, a memorandum was signed to establish a joint working group between the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Austrian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development.
