At the solemn opening ceremony of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization hall at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after B. Sydykov, Rector Abdilbayet Mamasidikov, Doctor of Economic Sciences, delivered an inspiring speech.

He noted that this new hall will be a significant step towards strengthening ties between the seven states.

“We are on the brink of a time when border barriers will be forgotten, and only friendly connections will remain,” emphasized Mamasidikov, adding that such initiatives contribute to the sustainable development of future generations.

In turn, Kasymzhan Sobirov, director of the SCO center in Uzbekistan, thanked the Kyrgyz side for the warm welcome.

“Our brothers from Kyrgyzstan greeted us with open arms; I feel very comfortable here,” he noted.

Sobirov also shared his impressions of the city of Osh, which he returned to after 20 years, highlighting its significant development and growth.

During the event, a memorandum was signed between the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University and the SCO center in Uzbekistan, which will serve as a foundation for a new level of scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation between the countries.

Congratulations were also expressed by the Consul of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Karibaev, Deputy Consul of Uzbekistan Furkat Usmanov, and Deputy Director of the Cultural Integration Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Stalbek Bekbolotov. All of them expressed confidence that the new hall will be an additional factor in strengthening cooperation.

This hall opens new horizons for students, promotes the expansion of international partnerships, and shapes the educational space.
