The head of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), Kamchybek Tashiev, stated in an interview with the Regional TV channel that the operation of all mining farms is banned in Kyrgyzstan until March 2026. He noted that any attempts at illegal connections to the power grid will be suppressed, and those responsible will be held accountable.
Tashiev also instructed state institutions to disconnect electricity after 6:00 PM, except for educational institutions, which are allowed to operate until 7:00 PM to ensure the safety of students. He emphasized that rolling blackouts are not planned, but urged the population to conserve electricity.
Additionally, he reminded everyone of the need to comply with the Noise Law. According to the new rules, starting today, all weddings, club events, and similar gatherings must end by 10:00 PM. In case of violations, the relevant authorities will be authorized to disconnect electricity in such establishments.
