
During a phone conversation, the presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, agreed on two important events: a meeting at the CSTO summit in Bishkek and a traditional meeting in St. Petersburg at the end of 2025. This was reported by TASS, citing the Kremlin press service.
The Kremlin confirmed that "an agreement has been reached on further contacts" during the upcoming summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
In addition, the leaders of the two countries discussed topics related to bilateral relations, including cooperation in the energy sector. Important international issues were also addressed during the conversation.
The press service noted that both meetings are scheduled for the end of 2025.
