Old licenses issued in 2019 will continue to be issued until all existing blanks are exhausted. Then, government agencies will begin issuing licenses of the new sample.
According to this resolution, the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers is obliged to send samples of the new licenses to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform other states about the transition to the new format.
The organization "Kyzmat" will be responsible for the personalization of the new licenses.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also tasked with notifying foreign countries about the introduction of the new driver's licenses.
The document emphasizes that this decision is aimed at creating a modern document that will confirm citizens' rights to operate vehicles.
The resolution will come into force 15 days after its signing.

The national driver's license of the 2025 model has a rectangular shape with rounded corners, measuring 85.60 mm in length and 53.98 mm in width, with a thickness of 0.76 mm. It is made of polycarbonate and contains information in Kyrgyz, Russian, English, and French.
