Memorandum of Cooperation Signed
In Bangkok, Thailand, the 7th Forum of Directors General of Asia-Pacific countries took place, attended by a delegation from Kazakhstan led by Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development KazAID.
The event was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in collaboration with the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA).
During the forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between KazAID and TICA. This document will open new opportunities for the implementation of joint projects and the exchange of experience in the field of international development, including training and coordination of initiatives in partner countries.
Representatives of KazAID and TICA also discussed prospects for further cooperation, outlined directions for future projects, and confirmed their interest in deepening practical interaction for sustainable development.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Deputy Executive Secretary of ESCAP, Shombi Sharp, and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Thailand, Margulan Baymukhan, who is also the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ESCAP.
It should be noted that the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), established on October 19, 2004, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, coordinates the country's international assistance, including technical cooperation, grants, and exchange programs for developing countries. The agency actively develops bilateral, trilateral, and multilateral forms of cooperation, working with states in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and other partners.
