The founder of the Old Bishkek project, Nariman Tyuleev, announced the need to revise and change the concept in accordance with the opinion of the population.
As Tyuleev noted, this decision was a result of public dissatisfaction and directives from the country's leadership.
“The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, pointed out that some aspects of the project require revision and suggested re-examining all the details. Among such issues are the demolition of the third floor of the building and the expansion of the roadway. We will definitely take these requirements into account and make the necessary adjustments. If mistakes were made, we sincerely apologize. The opinion of the people is extremely important to us, and therefore we are ready to rework the project,” he emphasized.
According to the new plans, the road will have three lanes in each direction, a total of six. If weather conditions permit, the completion of the road works is scheduled for this year; otherwise, construction will be postponed to next year. However, traffic will open on December 12,” Tyuleev added.
