A 42-year-old resident of the capital reported to the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District on December 11. She stated that around 1 a.m. on December 10, she got into a taxi at the Sosnovsky turn in Kara-Balta. During the ride, two men who were in the car robbed her, taking 37,000 soms, three gold chains, four pairs of earrings, one bracelet, and three rings.
The incident was recorded under Article 206 ("Robbery") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Law enforcement officials were able to identify the vehicle used in the crime and detained two men: B.N., born in 1980, and A.T., born in 1986. They are being held in custody for two months, and the vehicle has been placed in a towing lot. The search for two more suspects is ongoing.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the detainees had resold the stolen gold jewelry to third parties.
