Electricity has become an integral part of our daily lives, and specialists work around the clock and in any weather conditions to ensure its uninterrupted supply. One such professional is dispatcher Zhanish Asanov, who has dedicated 24 years of his life to the Ak-Suu District Electric Networks Enterprise.

Zhanish Asanov was born on August 10, 1967, in the village of Kerege-Tash, located in the Ak-Suu District. After graduating from the Alysbaev rural school in 1984, he chose a career in energy and received higher education in the capital.

His service in the Soviet Army from 1985 to 1987 taught him discipline and responsibility, which have become the main principles of his life.

Since 2001, Zhanish has started his career in the energy sector. He began as an electrician and now holds the position of dispatcher, responsible for electricity distribution, emergency management, and promptly responding to citizens' inquiries.

“Our power lines run through mountainous areas. In bad weather, when blizzards or heavy snowfalls occur, we often had to walk along the overhead lines to find damages,” he shares.

At the same time, electric network employees sometimes have to risk their lives working in places that are inaccessible to machinery.

Zhanish also notes that earlier, technical resources were extremely limited. Vast territories had to be serviced with a small amount of equipment, which was a real challenge. However, modern cranes, specialized vehicles, SIP wires, and communication tools have significantly simplified the work of energy workers.

“Now, as a dispatcher, I take every call from the public and promptly send teams to the accident site. My main task is to restore electricity supply as quickly as possible,” says Zhanish Asanov.

Moreover, the introduction of “smart” meters has helped significantly reduce electricity losses and improve order in the networks, which has nearly eradicated illegal connections.

For his many years of effort, Zhanish has received honorary certificates at both the district and regional levels, as well as various rewards from the enterprise. Together with his wife, he has raised three children: two daughters and a son, who followed in his father's footsteps and chose a career in energy.

“In our industry, adherence to safety rules is fundamental. I always remind young specialists that there is no need to rush in this field,” emphasizes the experienced energy worker.

He also notes that recently there has been an increase in the number of educated young people eager to work in energy, which instills hope for a stable and reliable future for this sector.
