The delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan visited Astana to sign a cooperation program between Kyrgyz Hydromet and Kazhydromet.

From February 8 to 10, a delegation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan was in Astana (Kazakhstan) to sign an agreement between Kyrgyzhydromet and Kazhydromet. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the visit, a bilateral meeting took place at the Republican State Enterprise "Kazhydromet," attended by the First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Azamat Mambekov and the Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan Nurlan Aldamzharov.

As a result of the discussions, a Cooperation Program in the field of operational and production activities was signed, covering the period from 2026 to 2028, between the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan and the RGP Kazhydromet.

The document was signed by the Director of Kyrgyzhydromet Timur Almamotov and the General Director of RGP Kazhydromet Danara Alimbaeva.

It is specified that the aim of the program is to improve bilateral cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology, as well as to expand information exchange for more effective forecasting of hazardous and natural disasters.
