Kyrgyzstan has a unique potential: the largest educated youth generation since independence is now in the productive age. However, without timely measures, the country may lose its demographic dividend within the next 5-7 years, leading to increased migration and social instability.During the discussion, participants emphasized the issues faced by youth, including limited employment opportunities, a mismatch between skills and modern labor market requirements, uneven access to quality education and healthcare, as well as the vulnerability of certain youth groups.
As a solution, it is proposed to develop programs focused on employment and vocational training, as well as to expand opportunities for youth entrepreneurship and strengthen collaboration between various sectors.
A foresight session titled "The Future of Generations in Kyrgyzstan" was also held, bringing together representatives of government structures, experts, civil society members, and representatives of different age groups. Participants discussed possible scenarios for the socio-economic and demographic development of the country over the next 5-20 years and identified priority steps that need to be taken today.
