
The document covers the territories of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, aiming to develop tourism clusters, improve transport connectivity, and initiate investment projects along the corridor.
The event dedicated to the presentation of the master plan was attended by representatives from various ministries, including the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Department of Tourism, as well as the administrations of Chui and Issyk-Kul regions, the business community, and international organizations.

The initial version of the document was approved in 2019, and the updated version takes into account changes in the tourism market after the pandemic and introduces new elements to enhance sustainability.
Key directions of the new plan include:
- development of ecotourism and creation of environmentally safe infrastructure;
- implementation of alternative energy sources and reduction of carbon footprint;
- digitalization of border procedures and improvement of transport connectivity;
- formation of cross-border tourist routes.
Roundtable participants discussed key initiatives and potential projects that could become flagship. It is expected that the implementation of this master plan will attract investments from international financial institutions, the state, and the private sector.
The Almaty-Bishkek economic corridor is considered a strategically important project for regional integration and tourism development in Central Asia.
