Starting from February 11, a system of mandatory cargo tracking using navigation seals has been launched in Kyrgyzstan and other countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. This step was adopted by the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission and applies to both road transport and railway shipments of goods crossing the borders of two or more EAEU states.

In the first stage of control, the following categories of goods are subject to tracking:

The use of navigation seals becomes mandatory if the route passes through two or more EAEU countries, regardless of whether the transportation begins within the Union or outside of it.

According to representatives of the EEC, “the implementation of navigation seals is primarily a matter of speed and convenience: vehicles with seals will be able to cross internal borders of the EAEU without the need for inspection and delays, which will reduce downtime. A unified information system will allow real-time tracking of cargo movements, and the number of administrative procedures and checks will decrease.”

National operators of EAEU countries are responsible for tracking shipments. In Kyrgyzstan, this is carried out by the State Customs Infrastructure JSC.
