In Kyrgyzstan, the export of catalysts and precious metal waste has been banned for six months

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has decided to impose a six-month ban on the export of used catalysts and waste containing precious metals. This measure is aimed at combating the illegal export of valuable resources and preserving strategic reserves within the country.

According to the new decree, the export of the following materials will be prohibited for the next six months:


The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, must notify the WTO, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the Executive Committee of the CIS about the introduction of this ban within three days.

It should be noted that the previous decree regarding a similar ban was adopted on September 8, 2025, and has now lost its validity.

The new decree is set to come into effect in seven days.
