At a republican meeting in "Yntymak Ordo," President Sadyr Japarov noted that the period from 2021 to 2025 will not only be a time of recovery but also a time of qualitative economic progress for Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, the country's gross domestic product, which amounted to 8.3 billion US dollars in 2020, will exceed 22.6 billion dollars by 2025. This indicates almost a threefold growth in the economy, which can be considered a significant achievement.
Over the past five years, tax revenues have increased approximately four times, customs duties have risen six times, and non-tax revenues have grown nearly nine times. The consolidated budget, which was 313 billion soms in 2021, will exceed 1 trillion 100 billion soms by 2025, corresponding to a growth of 3.5 times. These indicators have no analogs in the country's history. We have managed to establish order in areas where "shadow schemes" had long been in operation. The main focus has been on transparency and accountability. It is important to note that we have also significantly reduced corruption risks in the fiscal sphere, and the results of this are already noticeable," emphasized President Japarov.
