During the recently held negotiations in Bucharest, delegations from both countries discussed important aspects of the agreement aimed at eliminating double taxation on income and preventing tax evasion. The agency confirmed that the document has been fundamentally agreed upon.
It is expected that the signing of the agreement will take place after the completion of all necessary internal procedures as stipulated by the legislation of the parties.
Furthermore, the agreement provides for the protection of residents of one country from discriminatory taxation in the other, as well as the implementation of measures to combat tax evasion and abuses, and the development of information exchange between the competent authorities of the two states.
