“Support for startups will be provided in various areas, with about 20 types of entrepreneurial activities planned. Each project can receive a loan of up to 1 million soms for a period of 18 months with a grace period of up to 6 months. After this period, entrepreneurs will start paying the interest rate,” noted Nurbek Umetaliev.
He also added that four commercial banks are already participating in the program and providing loans.
In addition, Umetaliev reminded that in 2025, another project aimed at supporting startups was approved, which is being implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund. Under this project, loans are issued at an interest rate of 8 percent, but there are no preferential terms.
