
From February 24 to 27, 2026, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mederbek Tumanov, participated in a series of events held in London in the format of "Central Asia – United Kingdom."
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, on February 25, at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the deputy minister attended a meeting where Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev spoke with EBRD Vice President Matteo Patrone.
The meeting discussed current projects and possible ways to expand cooperation in the socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, Tumanov participated in events of the "Central Asia – United Kingdom" format, including a meeting of the foreign ministers of Central Asia and the United Kingdom, as well as a bilateral conversation with Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom.
During these events, issues related to strengthening cooperation between the regions, expanding trade and economic ties, sustainable development, energy initiatives, and attracting investments to Central Asian countries were discussed.
Participation in these events confirmed the parties' commitment to deepening political and economic dialogue, as well as expanding practical interaction on key areas of cooperation.
