A solar power plant is planned to be built in the Kochkor district

In the Naryn region, a project is set to be implemented for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 325 MW. For this purpose, a corresponding stabilization regime has been signed at the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The agreement was concluded with the companies LLC "Solar Systems" and LLC "AST Imperial." The solar power plant will be located in the village of Ak-Kuduk in the Kochkor district, and the total investment is estimated at 200 million dollars.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency, Meerimbek Koychumanov.

The significance of the signed document lies in creating a stable and predictable environment for investors, as well as ensuring the reliability of the legal and economic climate throughout the project's implementation period.

This project will increase the share of renewable energy sources in the country's energy balance, which in turn will strengthen energy security and support the development of clean energy.

Moreover, the construction of the power plant will create new jobs during its construction and operation phases, positively impacting the socio-economic development of the region and attracting additional investments to the Naryn region.

The National Investment Agency emphasized that they continue to work on attracting strategic investors and implementing large-scale projects aimed at developing the economy and enhancing the country's investment attractiveness.
