According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, regular fairs are planned in Kyrgyzstan, including the capital, until June 2026, where products from local farmers and craftsmen will be showcased.
The main objective of these events is to provide the population with quality products at affordable prices, supporting domestic producers and controlling the rise in prices for socially significant goods. The ministry added that currently the republic does not face a food shortage, and reserves are at a satisfactory level.
In the capital, fairs are held in cooperation with the city administration every Saturday and Sunday. The products presented at the fairs come directly from the producers, which helps avoid additional markups from intermediaries. Participants must adhere to strict requirements: goods must meet sanitary standards, and prices must be lower than market rates. Additionally, farmers are required to provide a confirmation letter from the district agricultural administration.
In Bishkek, fairs are organized at the following addresses:
T. Usubaliev Square (intersection of I. Razzakov and Abdymomunov streets); Erkindik Boulevard (Pervomaisky District); Vostok-5 microdistrict (embankment).
Producers and city residents can obtain additional information by calling: (0312) 66-14-22, (0702) 70-20-00.
