In Kyrgyzstan, the organization of regular fairs has begun, which will take place in every region of the country, including the capital Bishkek. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reports that local producers, farmers, and artisans will be able to offer their goods at these events until June 2026.
The ministry notes that there is currently an abundance of basic food products in the republic, and the stock of goods meets the needs of the population. The main goal of the fairs is to create a sustainable internal market and offer citizens products at prices lower than market rates. Special attention is given to supporting socially vulnerable groups and local agricultural producers.
In Bishkek, the fairs are held in cooperation with the city mayor's office every Saturday and Sunday at the following addresses:
Turdakun Usubaliev Square (intersection of I. Razzakov and Abdymomunov streets, Erkindik Boulevard); Microdistrict "Vostok-5"; 12th microdistrict.
Participants in the fairs are required to meet certain criteria: possession of a confirmation letter from the district agricultural administration, strict adherence to sanitary standards, and setting prices below market rates.
