Kyrgyzstan is considering the possibility of introducing the BRICS Pay payment gateway. This became known from a press release by the National Investment Agency under the President of the country.
The statement mentions that a meeting was held at the agency with representatives of the international project, where the prospects for the development of cross-border retail (C2B) and corporate (B2B) payments were discussed.
The BRICS Pay payment gateway is a decentralized digital platform designed to simplify financial transactions between BRICS+ countries. It facilitates payments in national currencies quickly, securely, and without intermediaries, creating modern conditions for international financial infrastructure.

During the meeting, the technological architecture and business model of the project were also discussed, as well as investment opportunities for its implementation in Kyrgyzstan. The Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency, Meerimbek Koichumanov, expressed readiness to support this initiative, emphasizing its significance for enhancing the country's investment attractiveness.
According to experts, the launch of BRICS Pay could reduce Kyrgyzstan's dependence on international payment systems, strengthen control over integration with the national financial infrastructure, and contribute to the faster development of digital services.
