The State Tax Service has announced the introduction of excise taxes
Starting from January 1, 2026, baby food and non-alcoholic beverages in Kyrgyzstan will be subject to excise taxes and must be labeled with the appropriate excise stamps. This was reported by the State Tax Service.
This measure was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2022.
All unlabeled products for children must be sold out by May 1, 2026.
Previously, the STS noted that after the introduction of excise taxes on alcoholic beverages, budget revenues from their sales significantly increased.
