As of January 31, 2026, there were 23 commercial banks and 306 of their branches in the country, confirming the stable development of the financial sector.
Clients of the banking sector significantly increased their loan volumes, which rose by 1% and reached 512 billion soms. The volume of financing provided on Islamic principles also increased by 1% and amounted to 19.3 billion soms.
The deposit base of banks also showed positive dynamics, increasing by 1.6% and reaching 880 billion soms since the beginning of the year.
