Since 2025, a project for subsidizing index insurance has been successfully implemented in the Ak-Tal and At-Bash regions of the Naryn region. This initiative is carried out by the ISF fund in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme. During the discussions, the parties confirmed their intention to continue the active implementation of agricultural insurance mechanisms in the agricultural sector of the country.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to familiarize themselves in more detail with the results of pilot projects in Naryn in order to further scale them to other regions. Erlis Akunbekov noted that the development of agricultural insurance would help reduce the financial burden on agricultural producers and ensure food security in the context of a changing climate.
