Compared to December 2025, the national debt increased by $19.42 million, which was a result of increased borrowing in the domestic market. The majority of the domestic debt consists of loans from long-term securities, amounting to $3 billion 559.94 million (99%). The external debt is largely represented by loans from the Export-Import Bank of China, which total $1 billion 501.44 million (28.1%).
As of January 31, the share of national debt is 37.82% of the projected GDP for 2026.
