The Ministry of Agriculture is transitioning pesticide accounting in Kyrgyzstan to digital control

The Department of Chemicalization and Plant Quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic has begun the implementation of a large project to introduce an electronic management system for pesticides and agrochemicals. The main objective of this innovation is to ensure complete digitization of the turnover of these substances in the country. Currently, specialists are actively working on creating a unified database that includes all products permitted for use in Kyrgyzstan. Now the registry will be available in electronic form, which will help avoid confusion and the use of unreliable means for plant protection.

The system is already undergoing practical testing. This process involves not only ministry staff but also the manufacturers of the products themselves. Collaborative work allows for checking how quickly and conveniently the registration and electronic accounting are carried out. This approach helps identify shortcomings during the testing phase and allows for adapting the interface to meet user needs.

Developers have paid special attention to data quality and procedural transparency. The digital control system will provide the ability to track agrochemicals in real-time — from the moment they cross the border to their arrival in the field. The Ministry of Agriculture notes that the implementation of this system will serve as a reliable barrier against counterfeit products and strengthen the safety of local agricultural products. The transition to digital technologies in this important area is part of the republic's strategy for modernizing the agro-industrial complex.
